Gastric Balloon Cost in Jersey

We are unable to offer a 'package' in Jersey in the way some UK mainland centres can. But often these packages throw in support that you pay for but will never use and over-price simple things like medications. Equally this gives you the flexibility to have the balloon removed elsewhere should you move. We only charge you for what you need and we feel this is very comparable to UK costs factoring in the support on island. Prices vary a little between the 6 month and 12 month balloons both due to the differences in balloon and the aftercare. You will need to factor in the following:

INSERTION COST INCLUDES:

1. finesurgery fee: Endoscopic insertion under sedation, pre-and post insertion appointments with Susan Burry (specialist dietician, NutritionU), post-operative face-to-face appointments with surgeon at 2 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months (and 18 months for the Orbera365). Between appointment 'Life Coach' phonecalls for support and to ensure that you are on track.
2. Hospital fee: daycase endoscopy suite attendance plus cost of balloon and insertion kit.
3. Medications: Pack of medications to cover insertion and first week.

EXTRACTION COST INCLUDES:

1. finesurgery fee: No fee charged to remove balloon
2. Hospital fee: daycase endoscopy suite attendance plus cost of balloon extraction kit.

Adding up both insertion, removal, hospital costs, surgeon fee, two dietician reviews, and follow up for the duration of the balloon is between £4500-5500 depending on which balloon is used.  I do not offer specialist App access, connected scales, fitness tracker etc because you can get these considerably cheaper yourself if you need them!
